Diamond Technology Institute is now a Design Thinking high school and is listed in the Design Thinking in Schools Directory which is a K-12 partnership with Stanford University’s d.school. We are the only high school in Santa Cruz county with this distinction. Congratulations Janet! Diamond Tech's Student of the Year!

Janet has proven to be exemplary for our school, our district and our community. This year she has maintained a 4.0 G.P.A. while participating heavily in co-curricular activities. She and a teammate qualified for State Science Fair for their research of “Air Pressure on the Seed Germination of Pisum Sativm.” Janet also received the Cesar E. Chavez award for her community service with Reading Buddies, participated in the Solar Energy Academy, and the ROV robotics team. She is consistently dedicated to educational improvement both personally and for her community. Congratulations from all of us at Diamond Tech!

Summer 2017 AFA CyberCamp
Cabrillo College, Aptos Campus
July 17 – 21, 2017
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Cabrillo College is collaborating with the Air Force Associaion's CyberPatriot Program this summer to offer a free 1-week CyberCamp to students entering 9-12th grade. Students don't need to have a lot of experience in computers to be eligible. It is our goal to awaken interest in STEM careers for students at all levels of computer literacy.

Santa Cruz County Office of Education 2017 Summer School.

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education will be offering summer school for students entering 10th, through 12th grade. Classroom options are limited to remedial Algebra and English Language Arts. Several courses are available through independent studies.

  • A referral from your students' high school counselor is required for enrollment.
  • The summer session will run from June 19 through July 21
  • Students must attend the entire session to receive credit.
  • Too select courses, please see your counselor.
  • For assistance with the registration portal, please call (866) 752-6850.
  • Families without access to the internet may come to our office weekdays between 9:00AM and 3:00PM and our staff will assist them.
