History

How it all got started ... and why we keep on growing!

Diamond Technology Institute was established in 1999 under another name as an alternative choice to traditional high school. Recognizing that every student learns differently, the founders of Diamond Tech designed the program to be very different from a traditional high school. Our enrollment is no more than 25 students per grade level so we can offer each student the individual attention he or she deserves.

The focus at the institute is to fully prepare students for both college and career. The curriculum is designed to be interactive and provides support for our students to succeed. Although classes are structured and comprehensive, there is enough built-in flexibility and differentiation to accommodate students' diverse needs and curiosities. Students complete a rigorous college preparatory program and learn career technical skills in addition to completing all academic requirements for a diploma. Students are expected to attend school everyday, complete school assignments and become a team member. We encourage and assist students to pursue concurrent college enrollment, internships and interests.

Diamond Tech staff are here for one reason: to provide all students with a meaningful education. We help students explore a variety of interests and help them discover the skills to be successful. Our students begin their studies with the end in mind, knowing exactly what they need to study to break into the future they want.
